Welcome to our April blog post!

As the weather begins to warm up and the flowers start to bloom, it's a great time to focus on taking care of ourselves both inside and out. I've been consistently working out at the gym at least three times a  week and I can really feel the difference it has made to my mental health.

The discipline has been beneficial as I can be a creature of comfort and I love a sweet treat, it's a surprise that I still have teeth lol. I want to see results from the gym and so I have been cutting back on my sugar intake, I've been using coconut sugar, date syrup, honey or maple syrup to sweeten my teas, coffees and smoothies or forgoing the sugar rush all together. 

I love walking so I've been doing more of that and getting the steps in where I can, but gym is only one component, what you eat and how long you sleep for, is also integral to maximising your workouts and seeing results.

Here are some tips and ideas to help you enhance your well-being this month.


Incorporate more plants into your routine: Plants have countless benefits for our health and beauty, both internally and externally. Consider adding more leafy greens to your diet, such as spinach or kale, or incorporating herbs like mint and basil into your meals, I bought the potted plants and have been adding them to as many meals as possible, or to my hot/cold water for a refreshing taste. If you have an aloe vera plant you can use the flesh on your hair and skin or add it to your smoothies.


Prioritise hydration: Hydration is crucial for maintaining healthy skin and overall well-being. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water throughout the day, and consider adding hydrating foods to your diet such as watermelon, cucumbers, and berries.


Practice mindfulness: Taking care of our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Consider incorporating mindfulness practices into your daily routine, such as meditation or journaling. This can help reduce stress and promote a sense of inner calm and balance.


Switch to natural beauty products: Conventional beauty products can contain harmful chemicals that can damage our skin and overall health. Consider switching to natural beauty products that are free from synthetic fragrances and other harmful ingredients. Get outside: Spending time in nature is a great way to boost our overall well-being. Consider taking a walk or practicing yoga outside, or simply spending some time in your local park or garden.
